Growing boy & 1 month!

Here are a few more pics over the last couple weeks. We caught our 1st smile last week and has been doing it alot more lately. We thought at first Braxton was an exact replica of Jarrod, but over the last couple weeks he is starting to resemble his Mama a bit. :) I know in that one picture it looks he may have Jarrod's BIG BLUE eyes! We are still crossing our fingers, but at his 1 month appt. today, the Dr. said if he had to guess by the color they are now, that they will be brown.

He did have his 1 month check up today and he gained another FULL pound, so we are up to 9 lbs 12 oz, and 22 inches long. He is gaining weight in the 50% percentile, but as for height he is in the 90% (but that is assumed he is going to be a tall one). hehehe

So, we have been so blessed to have Braxton in our lives. It is a big change, but totally worth it! My mom came out just 2 days after Braxton was born and stayed for a week and then Jarrod's mom came out the following week. So, we did have a lot of help and are finally getting used to things and are working on getting the little guy on a schedule. He really has been a good boy. He doesnt cry too much-I hope I am not jinxing myself :), and we even do a trip out almost everyday. At his 2 week check up he had gained a full pound, so we know he likes to eat! The doctor says he is on the right track and he is perfect! Here are a few more pics, b/c I am know I have been slacking on the posts!

Braxton Arrives

Braxton Michael Wyss arrived March 27th at 8:10 am. 7lbs 11oz. 20 inches long. Here are some 1st pictures of his debut.

No Baby yet

Hey Everyone-
As some of you may know, Today is my Due Date, March 24th, and NO Baby Yet! :( We still have a few hours left, so I guess you never know. I have a feeling he will come tomorrow or Monday, at least we are hoping that is...

But since he doesn't seem to want to come out too quick, we are going to induce next Friday, the 30th-which is funny b/c its my Birthday! But, I am getting the best birthday present anyone cold ask for! So unless, he decides to make his debut before then, we will have a baby by next weekend!

We just wanted to give everyone a quick update and a picture of what I am looking like at 10 months!

For real this time, the next time I post, Braxton will be in the pictures! ;)

9 Months

Hey Everyone-
I wanted to get one last post in before little Braxton arrives. I have a little less then 4 weeks left until Braxton's due date, March 24th, but as you know he can grace us anytime! I have started going to the doctor every week now and everything looks great! My tummy is measuring perfectly and he is facing head down. We are doing another ultra sound this wed., just to see if we missed anything. My doctor likes to do one last one, just to make sure everything is A-ok.

I have also had a lot of people asking for belly pics. We had one of my best friends, Laura, to take maternity pics yesterday. I have included a preview. I am finally getting bigger! :)

I will post pictures as soon as I can after he arrives! Miss everyone!

Nursery finished!

The nursery is ALL finished! I have even washed all my newborn outfits and have them organized in his closet and drawers. :) And today, we made his Crib skirt. That was pretty funny watching us use the sewing machine! But I think overall, we did a great job.

The "nesting" part of me is pretty much finished and I couldn't have done any of it without my loving and especially patient husband!

We miss all of you very much and the next time I post, Braxton will be in it! :) CRAZY!!!

P.S. I am now walking around without my cast! Woo Hoo!!! I still have a bit of swelling every night, but overall I should be back to normal in a few months!

Nesting time

Ok. So, I have been driving Jarrod crazy will all of my "nesting." I just want everything to be perfect before Braxton tries to come! One of the projects I put him on was a headboard and side table's for OUR room! We decided to hit the flea markets and make the headboard ourselves. We found our side tables for $5 a piece and decided to use the rest of the blue from the baby's room to paint some of the bad parts. It kinda gives it a more funky look. As for the headboard, we did all of this for less than $100!! Well, Jarrod did most of it, but I tried to help as much as I could. :) I think it looks great! So, most of my house is ready for all my visitors to come! Please see pictures!

Baby Shower

Hey Guys! I am now going to be 34 weeks this Friday, so only 6 more weeks to go!

My friends threw me a baby shower a couple weeks ago and it was super fun! I am the first of my friends to have a baby, and everyone was just wonderful and tons of fun. They had decided to make it like a Luau and it was definitely a perfect Saturday for a Hawaiian themed party! The temperature was around 76 degrees-you gotta love San Diego! I got a bunch of cute and much needed "stuff" for Braxton, so we are almost ready for him to come!

Braxton's 7 month check up!

Well, I am 7 months along and about a week and we had our 3rd trimester ultrasound last week. We are happy to say that Braxton looks perfect. He is a little over 2 1/4 lbs and about the size of a head of cauliflower. He is in the 60% percentile for his height and weight, so little bigger, but he does have some tall parents. I just hope he waits to grow until after I have him. ;)

We are getting really anxious for Braxton to arrive and see what his little face looks like. This is all we have for now!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! This year we were pretty low key and decided to finish up Braxton's room! Jarrod did ALL of the paint job from scratch and I am very proud of him. I am sure his "little man" will be proud too! ;) We still our waiting for our glider chair to arrive and few other details we will be adding, but these pics will give you an idea. The finished product will follow!

Hey Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday Season. Well, since I broke my foot it kind of put a damper on flying home for X-mas this year, so we decided to drive up the Coast to Cambria (northern California/Big Sur area) and stay for a few days. I am getting stir crazy with this foot stuff! :) We drove up with Shannon and our best friends Jimmy and Jimmy and Jana. It was really neat, because they decided to get a house on the beach, when we decided we wanted more of a cabin feel, so we had the best of both worlds. We had such a fantastic time and we wanted to share some pictures with you!!!

We went up to Paso Robles and did a wine tasting (some of us) one day, which is really neat and all tastings were FREE! Its a really beautiful area of California and I would love to go back one day. I managed to buy a few bottles to open after Braxton is born. And for X-mas Eve (Jarrod's Birthday) he woke up and went surfing (his absolute favorite thing to do), and got himself into some REALLY big waves that day-I think he said 10 feet-crazy man, not to mention its freezing water up there! But... that was the best present you could give him ;) Christmas Day, we drove up to Big Sur which is a spectacular view of the California Coast. Braxton didn't seem to like it too much though, he made me get a little car sick, but overall it was a wonderful Christmas day!

As some of you know, crutches are horrible to use, and since I am now into my 7 month (The Home Stretch) its getting even harder, so I rented a knee scooter to make it easier for me to keep up. That thing was a life saver!
